Space weather services at CLS

Space weather is a recent discipline, at the junction of fundamental physics and added-value services for the industry. Space weather intends to understand, modelize and forecast the impact of the Sun on human activity, including space and ground industry, telecommunication, aviation and human health. CLS has been participating for many years to valorize scientific works and help industrial operators in various fields.  One of the main services is the provision of a time series of solar radio flux from 3 to 30 cm.

CLS also provides space weather information for the civil aviation sector (ionospheric scintillation and radiation dose maps), and the spacecraft & launcher sector (probability of a Solar Proton Event).
